Roy Nagatoshi workshop 2014
Roy was in town for his annual spring Mid-Atlantic tour.
Roy and Uncle Pete discuss styling options for Pete’s rough bark Japanese White Pine.
Roy removed a large lower branch from Uncle Pete’s tree.
Uncle Pete works on his tree as Roy explains the plan to other workshop participants.
Here is a before picture of the Japanese Black Pine I took to the workshop.
Here is an after picture of my Black Pine after it’s first styling. It looks a little sparse here but after a few years it should fill out nicely as I develop the pads. The plan is to let the tree grow vigorously this year and repot next spring.
Have fun!
